Pet Pawfection set up shop at the BOSC's annual holiday shopping event at the George Mason University Field House. If you live in the Northern Virginia area and missed it, make sure you attend next year. The vendors were amazing, and we had special visits from Santa and the Washington Capital's Slapshot! The wonderful smells of baked goods, scented candles and a host of other holiday goodies greeted us as we walked from one booth to the next. We have plenty of pics to share that showcase a few things we liked from the show. We also welcomed one new member to our pack: Chuckwagon. He's holding lunch for his mama in the next pic.

Pet Pawfection will set up shop at the Belvoir Officers' Spouses' Club Holiday Craft Boutique and Family Funfest this Saturday in Fairfax, Virginia at the George Mason Field House (Ox Road and University Drive) from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We will have our usual doggie wares available, along with Christmas ornaments, dog breed tumblers, dog pens and other great gifts. This is another chance for you to get a jump on your holiday shopping and have fun with the whole family. Here is a taste of what will be available at the event:

• Over 130 vendors, informational organizations, and non-profit organizations will be in attendance
• Santa will visit from 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM!
• Washington Capitals' Mascot, Slapshot will visit at 2:00 PM!
• Mason Glee Club performance
• Boyle Irish Dance performance
• Demonstration by Jason Yi's Tae Kwon Do College
• Scavenger Hunt
• Cake Decorating Contest
• Bake Sale
• Red, Hot & Blue, Papa John's and Subway will provide great food

Admission is $4 for one person, $6 for a family and free for kids under 6. Proceeds benefit BOSC activities, scholarship fund and philanthropy projects. Pass the word to your pack and join us for this furtastic event!

Pet Pawfection will set up shop at the Joyful Noise Holiday Bazaar and Bakeshop this Saturday in Sterling, Virginia. We will have our usual doggie wares available, along with Christmas ornaments and other great stocking stuffers. This is a great chance for you to get a jump on your holiday shopping with crafts and interesting items you won't find anywhere else. Here is a taste of what will be available at the event:

• Amazing artists, crafters and vendors selling unique gifts
• Old-Fashioned Bake Sale (cupcakes, pound cakes, brownie pops and chocolate chip cookie bites!)
• Cupcake Decorating Factory (buy kit to decorate your own cupcake)
• Holiday Decorating Demo by Janice Harvey Designs (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
• Silent Auction (bidding starts at 10:00 AM and ends at 2:00 PM)
• Hot lunch served from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Lisa ready for business in the Pet Pawfection pavilion.

Pet Pawfection set up shop at this year's festival off Little River Turnpike. A huge crowd turned out for the parade, performers, games, vendors and great food. We were amazed at how many furry friends showed up to enjoy the festivities! We have plenty of pics to share. We also welcomed two new members of our pack: Gizmo and Nikita.

You'll notice in the picture above that we had some free treats for the kids. They had to fight off some of the adults who were still kids at heart!

Pet Pawfection displayed its doggie wares at Round Elementary in Manassas on Friday evening. Moms and dads surveyed local crafts and vendors while the kids kept busy with plenty of treats and games. Lisa, the head of our pack, enjoyed catching up with school staff she used to work with at Round many moons ago. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello and to pick up some goodies for their furry friends at home!

Pet Pawfection will be all over Northern Virginia this weekend!

We start on Friday night from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Round Elementary School in Manassas for the PTO-sponsored Round Elementary Fall Festival. You can expect a number of vendors, crafters and activities for the kids.

We continue on Saturday at the Annandale Fall Festival and Parade. This event is sponsored by the Annandale Chamber of Commerce and runs from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the Safeway parking lot on Little River Turnpike. Eighty vendors will sell everything from jewelry to kids toys and wood crafts. Of course, we'll be there to handle the dog department! The parade runs from 10:00 AM to noon. Some great events are also planned - all headlined by country western and rock star Tory Bailey at 3:00 PM.

Rock, Jazz & Country Bands along with International Costumed Dancers & Swing Dancers will set your toes tapping while The Taste of Annandale, with food from many culinary cuisines, will satisfy every taste craving. The Kid’s Zone will challenge with a Climbing Wall, Bungee Jump, Bungee Basketball, Face Painters, a Lil Pirate Inflatable & Toddler Games, Costumed Characters, and The Secret Garden which will feature Puppet Shows at 1 & 3 PM and The Traveling Storyteller at NOON and 2:00 PM along with interactive games for toddlers to teens. Pet Pawfection displayed its doggie wares this weekend at the Bowling Green Harvest Festival. This was our first appearance at this event and we were impressed by how large and friendly the crowd was. To top it all off, the sun was shining and the smell of cotton candy and other delicious treats were in the air. The only down side was the 20-30 mph wind gusts that kept us on our toes!

The Pet Pawfection tent will be on display at the family-friendly 2011 Bowling Green Harvest Festival on October 15, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Bowling Green is about 40 miles north of Richmond, VA. We'll have seasonal dog treats, hand-painted ceramic dog bowls, dog sweaters, dog jackets and more for sale.

See all the best Caroline County has to offer at the Bowling Green Harvest Festival! 175 vendors line Main Street while bands and community groups perform on the stage across from the courthouse. Kids can join in the fun with pumpkin painting, face painting, magicians, rides, and games. There's also a car show, motorcycle show, antique tractors, plenty of local food and fun!

Over 10,000 people are expected this year, so this should be a great festival. If you live in the area, please stop by and say hello!
