Pusuke, who was certified by Guinness last December as the oldest dog alive, passed away peacefully this week from what appears to be natural causes. This amazing fur brother was 26 years and 9 months young, the equivalent of 125 years in human terms.

This fur sister can't get enough of Santa in the movie Elf. Every time Santa's face appears, Daisy starts jumping and barking. One human commented that she probably recognized Santa as the guy that tried to rob her house last year, but I can assure you, Daisy is just excited to see Santa. I suspect she is just trying to get his attention to plant some gift ideas!
Yeah, I know. I'm late reporting this beauty of a story. According to various reports, a Utah duck hunter got a nasty surprise after laying his 12-guage shotgun down on the bow of his boat as he got out. His hound jumped on the gun causing it to discharge and embed 27 pellets into his posterior 10 feet away. So much for setting decoys. Looks like the hunter became the hunted!
This incident is being reported as an accident...
First we have a diving dog that corkscrews like a dolphin; now we have a dog who loves to "air the boys out" in a bubble bath! I still say that wet stuff is evil. It gets in your ears and mattes your fur. Then your human mama will likely chase you around with that equally evil hot air gun. Have fun fur dude but count me out.
By the way, doesn't Casper remind you of those cool sea turtles in Finding Nemo cruising the Easter Australian Current?

Our fur loving friends at the Seattle Repertory are at it again. An encore presentation of Sylvia where dogs are welcome alongside their human friends is scheduled for December 11 at 7:30 PM. The first Dogs Night Out was a big hit, so if you missed it due to a late nap, don't fret. This showing is for you!

Hey human, have you ever found yourself sitting there thinking... 'I wish somebody would run down to the local store and pick up some chips and beer for me?' Well fear not! A Chinese fur brother shows us all that dogs are perfectly capable of going shopping at a moment's notice.
The only thing required of you (besides a smart fur buddy with some training) is a bag or basket he can hold plus a list of things a human at the store can understand. You'll also need to throw some money in there. Don't expect the change.
Like most fur brothers and sisters, Bob the dog has a favorite toy that rarely leaves his side. He loves this toy so much that one day he dove into the deep end of his human pack's pool, corkscrewing eight feet down to the bottom to retrieve it.

Now this feat is amazing for two reasons...
Lao Pan died earlier this month at the age of 68 in the eastern Chinese village of Panjiatun. He had no wife or children and few relatives to speak of. His death would have gone largely unnoticed to those outside his village except for one thing (a furry thing) - his close companionship with a dog.

Forty Beagles arrived at LAX last Wednesday after being rescued by the Beagle Freedom Project from an animal testing laboratory in Spain. These poor dears are all fur brothers ranging in age from four to seven years young. They've spent their entire lives in cages within the laboratory. Many of them have injuries and scars from the testing.

Lucky, a Maltese rescued by Wendy Diamond and lovingly referred to as her "wing dog," was just awarded the "Animal Most Photographed with Celebrities" world record with a jaw dropping 363 celebrity photos. Lucky got the news during the seventh annual Guinness World Records Day, where over 300,000 people from across the globe attempted to break Guinness World Records.
Lucky was adopted in 1999 and began accompanying Diamond on her endless campaign to promote animal rescue...
